The Beach House (www.lizyorke.com) is fully equipped for all 4 seasons all you need to bring is your food. It has 38 windows including 13 picture size windows and you can see the ocean from every room in the cottage. Not only can you see the ocean but also the tide will lull you to sleep every night and the air is so clear that you can see all the stars and constellations.
The second floor has 2 bedrooms a lovely pine bathroom and a gorgeous sun room with an airtight stove a pine cathedral ceiling and a sea-facing balcony - great for watching the sun rise and set. The sun room has a futon which makes into a large double bed. All the beds have hand-made Nova Scotia quilts and there are several extra quilts for any chilly winter nights.
The main floor has an absolutely beautiful beach rock fireplace an eating area fully equipped kitchen (including fish-shaped Dansk dishes to help make your cottage visit extra special) a lovely sunroom a very large dining room an office (with a day bed to make 2 singles or 1 double) and a pine bathroom. The kitchen has every amenity - dishwasher microwave ceramic-top stove fridge pots/pans loads of dishes - even large roasting pans for turkey dinners for special holidays and big pots for boiling fresh lobsters. The dining room with windows on three sides can easily sit 12.
The basement has loads of room for storage of suitcases etc the washer and dryer and lots of extra wood and kindling for fires every night in the beach rock fireplace or airtight stove.
Outdoors you'll find the propane barbeque lots of lawn furniture and a swing/slide set for children.
The lane to the cottage is well maintained by the County and Jeff Morris local comanger extraordinaire.
