The Westport Holiday Home was originally a charming Victorian style farmhouse. Its charms include pine floors upstairs the restored walnut stairrailing and leaded glass doors in the four upstairs rooms. A deluxe stainless steel BBQ gazebo outdoor furniture and lights 2 TVs VCR DVD radio amd hot/cold shower are provides for your pleasure. The home is ajacent to a well-used snowmobile path onto the lake for winter fun.
Here we accommodate five or six persons and just 10 minutes away we can accommodate another 10 persons in two waterfront neighbouring cottages. Total accommodation can be 16 in three properties.
It is within walking distance of Sand Lake Mill Pond and the Upper Rideau Lake. These three lakes are part of the Rideau Lakes System in Eastern Ontario near the junction of County Roads 12 & 36.

ABOUT WESTPORT
Westport a quiet village with a population of about 700 is a very popular destination spot for tourists due to the number of interesting shops in the town. Whether you come by boat or by car you will find Westport caters to most of your needs. Westport has rolling farmland to the south and more rugged terrain in the form of Foley Mountain to the north. In addition to public docking facilities Westport offers a full range of land-based accommodations.
There is a lot to do and see in Westport. There are many interesting shops two local golf courses and swimming beaches. The nature enthusiast will want to visit Foley Mountain Conservation Area which offers a great view of Westport as well as provides for many opportunities for hiking and nature viewing. The Rideau Trail extending from Kingston to Ottawa runs through the Foley Mountain Conservation Area.
Local attractions include 8-10 golf courses in the immediate area and shows at the Westport arena (art antique boat..). fishing derbys. The annual Antique Show and Sale is held on the first weekend in June the annual Rideau Valley Art Festival at the end of August and the very popular Fall Colours Studio Tour annually on Thanksgiving weekend in October. Westport attracts visitors and tourists from all of Eastern and Southern Ontario and the NE U.S.
Year round accommodation is available as the property is on the village water and sewage systems. The house has all conveniences of hot and cold running water and a 4-piece bath with shower. It is fully furnished with three bedrooms providing two twin beds a sofa-bed and a single to comfortably accommodate five. There is space to set up an air mattress and sleeping bag to accommodate a sixth person. There is spacious parking for two or three vehicles in the drive at no extra charge. The garage is available at an extra cost. The private yard enclosed by mature trees has a fenced-in safe play area of 200 sq. ft for younger children. There is lots of decking- 2 sides of the house and shade provided by several mature trees. The village shops bank postoffice boutiques restaurants and marina are a mere five-minute walk from here.
Less than five minutes away on foot(400 yards or half a km or ten homes)is the Westport Lions Club Community Beach and Clubhouse.
