Komarna on the Croatian coast 70 kilometres North of Dubrovnik. Almost all the red tiled houses have a clear view of the azure Adriatic Sea beyond the beach.
Komarna lies in the bay of Mali Ston engulfed by the mainland and the peninsula of Peljesac whose coasts are dotted with small uninhabited islands, reefs and cliffs offering a spectacular view much like Southern Thailand or Greece.
Komarna is the perfect place for making a vacation if you want to be disturbed by nothing but the sound of rattling palm leaves and soft waves rolling in on the beach. There is no chance of getting bored though. Just three kilometres to the South you'll find the tourist town of Klek offering a wide selection of restaurants, bars, shops and discotheques, and there are a lot of historical sights nearby and world-class tourist attractions to be easily reached in a day-trip.
On this website you can find information on the town of Komarna and surroundings which include the ancient Greek colony of Narona in Neretva Valley, the holy place in Medjugorje and the world heritage site of Dubrovnik one hour drive to the South. And you may find accommodation for a great family holiday or senior holiday. The village has apartments in all sizes and all close to the Adriatic and with great sea view.
