THE APARTMENT

This is a superbly appointed penthouse in a popular and prestigious complex just 15 minutes from Reina-Sofia airport, with features you'd expect for your vacation home in Tenerife. Everything you should need is included, i.e. bedding, linen, towels, iron, ironing board, cooling fans, kitchen appliances, etc. We think you'll like our tastefully furnished and decorated apartment which is in modern Canarian style for your comfort and enjoyment.

The entrance door opens into the hall and off that are the bedroom, bathroom and open-plan kitchen / living area with it's tall vaulted ceiling. Apart from giving you the feeling of light and space, it also keeps it cool in warmer weather. On your arrival, there's no need to go chasing around to property management offices after a long flight. There's a push-button keysafe by the door to get you in at your convenience in case you're arriving late, so you can get settled sooner and start to relax after your journey.

Lounge

The spacious lounge is furnished with a modern coffee table, side table with lamp, sideboard, dining table and chairs, two sofas, (including one that pulls-out into a comfortable double bed), TV, DVD player, portable stereo and a selections of DVD films and audio CD's for your enjoyment. Balcony

The lounge leads out through patio doors onto the balcony where there are four chairs, a table and parasol from which to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding scenery. These are, from left to right, being those of the the lush tropical gardens of the complex, across the 27-hole Golf del Sur golf course to the Atlantic ocean. Right in front of you is the 8th fairway of the Amarilla Golf Club then scanning right to the mountains and finally the snow-capped peak of Mount Teide (low cloud permitting). As the penthouse is on the edge of the complex, there are very few buildings to spoil this near 180 degree view and it is much quieter than those apartments around the pool area.

Kitchen

The apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances, fridge with freezer compartment, full oven and hob/range, toaster, microwave, kettle, matching cutlery, crockery, glassware and a breakfast bar with four stools.

Bedroom(s)

When the day is done, the bedroom is furnished with comfortable twin beds, alarm clock, beside table and lamp, desktop cooling fan and a large built-in wardrobe. The windows can be shuttered during the day to keep out the sun if you fancy a quick snooze.

THINGS TO DO....THE MAIN REASONS TO VISIT TENERIFE

One of the greatest attractions of Tenerife has always been its variety of entertainment for families and people of all ages and as nice as our home is, at the end of the day you won't have travelled all those miles to get to Tenerife, simply to stay around the apartment and most people only tend to use it as a base. LOCAL INFORMATION

Although there is an excellent restaurant on-site, this 5-Star Gold Crown resort is situated a mere 5 minute drive or 15-minute walk from San Blas local centre where you will find many shops and a variety of bars and and restaurants to suit all tastes around a lovely open square. If you prefer to dine a bit nearer to home, the complex is just two minutes walk away from several good restaurants, bars and the new marina. One of our favourites is 'La Marina' just to the rear of the complex. Another short drive away (or walk if you feel so inclined!!) is the fishing village of Los Abrigos which is renowned for it's excellent seafood restaurants.

For sport, as well as the golf course there are tennis courts, gymnasiums, a bowling green and a diving centre located nearby. A little further round the coastline is the wind surfing resort of El Medano with it's wide sandy beach and it's beachfront bars and restaurants.

GOLF INFORMATION

Ever since its 1987 inaugural event, a competition for professionals, the 27 greens and fairways of Golf del Sur have provided the backdrop for various top international tournaments. In 1995, Golf del Sur hosted the Shell Wonderful World of Golf tournament with its head-to-head battle between Ernie Els and Phil Mickelson. Golf del Sur has also been the setting for two golf driving distance records, both of which were set by Britain's Karl Woodward. First he set a new record of 398 yards and then, a few months later, he managed to break the legendary 400-yard barrier with a huge stroke which sent the ball flying 408 yards. This Tenerife golf course, designed by Pepe Gancedo, is a thoroughly enjoyable layout, where your attention is immediately caught by the black volcanic sand bunkers and the beautiful native plantlife.

On Golf del Sur the 27-hole PGA Championship golf course is split into three 9 hole links courses. You can bring your own golf clubs or hire them from the Club. Discount on green fees for golfers is also available if you have a handicap card from your club. There are also 4 other golf courses within a 20 minute drive of Royal Parque Albatros; Amarilla Golf & Country Club is right next door to Golf del Sur and the apartment balcony overlooks the 8th fairway. Golf Los Palos is a 9-hole course on Costa del Silencio about 15 minutes drive, Golf Las Americas is also a 15 minute drive and Golf Adeje is about 20 minutes away just past Playa Las Americas.

BOWLING INFORMATION

The new complex of 'Winter Gardens', next door to Royal Parque Albatros, is the home to the new Tenerife International Bowls Club. During the last decade it has been recognised the world over that lawn bowls, and more notably 'flat green' bowls, as it is most commonly known, has, in many countries, become one of the largest participation sports of the general public as a whole. With this in mind it is hardly surprising that a Bowling Stadium, built to the highest international standards and offering first-class facilities would be a huge success. The green has been designed to the most demanding standards, with 8 rinks of Greengauge carpet over underlay - on a concrete foundation. Top quality materials have been used in preparation to ensure a perfect surface on which to play outdoors, all year round.
